3-day workshop · open enrolment

Three days that turn a young idea into a real business.

mini BOSS is a practical entrepreneurship experience for ages 10–17. Not another classroom — three high-energy days where young people spot a problem, build a brand, price for profit and pitch it out loud. Open to learners from public and private schools, with sponsored places supported by corporate and government funding.

Day 3: the pitch

every participant presents their own venture

Why mini BOSS

The world children are entering is changing fast.

We don't tell young people to wait until they're older to make an impact. In three days we give them a safe place to try, fail, create, speak, build and believe in their own ideas.

Confidence

Speak up. Back yourself.

Young people learn to share an idea out loud, take questions and hold their ground — in front of peers, mentors and a real audience.

Money

Cost, price, profit

Practical money skills most learners never meet at school: what something costs to make, what to charge, and what's actually left over.

Creativity

Problems as opportunities

They start with a real need in their own community and design something that answers it, using materials and insight they already have.

Leadership

Decide and take ownership

Teams split roles, make trade-offs under time pressure and carry the outcome together — the habits employers and founders both need.

The 3-day workshop

Learn · Create · Build · Sell · Lead

No long lectures. Three days of doing, facilitated by trained mini BOSS coaches and streamed by age group so every participant is stretched at the right level.

Every workshop ends with a pitch — real audience, real feedback, real proof.

  1. Day 1

    Learn & Create

Money basics and problem-finding through play and challenges — then each team locks in the idea they'll build.

    • Understand the world of business
    • Spot a real problem
    • Turn it into an idea
  2. Day 2

    Build

Brand identity, customer and numbers. Teams prototype the product and work out cost, price, revenue and profit.

    • Name the brand
    • Know the customer
    • Price for profit
  3. Day 3

    Sell & Lead

A live trading moment followed by the pitch to a panel of mentors, business owners and parents. Certificates handed out.

    • Trade with real customers
    • Pitch the idea
    • Take ownership

Outcomes

They don't just attend. They leave with proof.

Parents, schools and funders can see exactly what came out of the three days — five tangible deliverables per participant, plus a short report for sponsors.

A business idea

A problem, a solution and a customer they can describe.

A brand

Name, identity and the message that goes with it.

A money model

Cost, price, revenue and profit — worked out by them.

A pitch

A confident presentation delivered to a live panel.

A certificate

Recognition of participation and achievement.

Flexible & funded

One workshop. Many ways to run it, many ways to fund it.

The three-day format stays the same wherever it lands. What flexes is who hosts it and who pays for it — so no child is excluded because of a school fee bracket.

Weekends & holidays

Open public workshop

Three consecutive days at a community or city venue. Any learner aged 10–17 can enrol, with sponsored seats reserved for public-school participants.

Public or private schools

School-hosted workshop

We run the same three days on site, streamed by age group. Schools host, we facilitate and supply every toolkit and workbook.

CSI, skills levy, district budgets

Corporate & government cohorts

A funder underwrites a full cohort in a chosen community. Impact reporting and participant outcomes are included.

How a workshop gets paid for

A blended model: private and public support alongside paid places.

  • Private funding

Corporate social investment, skills-levy budgets, foundations and individual sponsors — each sponsoring named seats or a whole cohort.

  • Public funding

Provincial education and youth-development budgets, district partnerships and municipal youth programmes bringing the workshop into under-served areas.

  • Paid enrolment

Parents and schools who can pay do — and every paid place helps cross-subsidise a sponsored one.

The team

Operators, educators, and one very clear mission.
